The Scanner app is a dedicated, mobile-friendly tool your staff use to scan customer reward QR codes and redeem rewards in real time.
Before you start
Staff need their own Scanner login. The business owner invites them from Team (see “How to Invite and Manage Your Team”). Each staff member receives an email to set a password.
Steps
- Staff open the Scanner app and log in with their email and password
- If they have access to more than one business, they pick which one they’re scanning for
- The Scanner opens the device camera for live QR scanning
- The customer shows their reward QR code (from a winner, gift, or activation reward page)
- The Scanner loads the reward details and the customer’s name
- Staff tap Claim Reward to redeem it — the reward is marked claimed and a success screen confirms
Outcome
Fast, contactless reward redemption at the counter — staff verify and claim rewards in seconds, with no access to your customer data, analytics, or settings.
Tips
- The Scanner is a focused, redemption-only app — it’s safe to hand to front-line staff
- It’s a Progressive Web App, so staff can add it to their phone’s home screen for quick access
- If a code won’t scan, staff can still confirm the claim by opening the link the QR points to
